Electropop princess Halsey and rock gods Imagine Dragons join the already packed entertainment line-up for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix 2016.
Halsey and Imagine Dragons will be performing a double bill concert on 18 September at the Padang Stage.
Best known for stadium-ready and radio anthems, Imagine Dragons has enjoyed international success and recognition following the release of their debut studio album 'Night Visions' in 2012. The double platinum certified album debuted #2 on the Billboard 200, and sold over 3.9 million albums and 24 million tracks.
Singer-songwriter Halsey released her debut studio album 'Badlands' in 2015 which debuted #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold. Known for its dark, gritty electro pop sound and lyrics, the album included hit singles ‘New Americana’, ‘Colors’, and ‘Castle’, a version of which appeared on the soundtrack of 'The Huntsman: Winter's War'.
The new additions join Australian popstar Kylie Minogue and British rock band Queen, together with American Idol alumni Adam Lambert at the event.
American a cappella group Pentatonix, British indie rock band Bastille and ‘70s disco icon KC and the Sunshine Band are also slated to perform at the race, which will be held from 16-18 Sep 2016.
Minogue will perform at the Padang Stage (Zone 4) on 16 Sep after Race Practice. She last performed in Singapore for a one night only concert in 2011.
Queen + Adam Lambert will perform at the Padang Stage (Zone 4) on 17 Sep, also after the Qualifying Race. Lambert last performed in Singapore at the Celebrate 2016 countdown show on New Year's Eve.
Other acts, including the headline act for the final race on 18 Sep, will be announced at a later date.
