Catch the screening of King Hu wuxia classics 'The Valiant Ones' as part of the Singapore Chinese Film Festival.

 

The Valiant Ones is a 1975 film directed by King Hu. The film is set in Ming Dynasty where the Japanese and Chinese pirates attacks the South East coast area of China. High ranking officials and local officals were bribed by the pirates making it hard to eradicate them. As a resolution, the Emperor appoints Wan Zhu to eliminate the pirates. Zhu on the other hand funds General Yu to carry out the mission. Yu gathered the valiant ones to attack the pirates however, local officials intercept and the mission fails. The valiant ones planted traps and disguised themselves to lure the hidden corrupt officials. The story concluded with an intense fights.
