The story begins with a body and where to bury it.
Two brothers find out their father’s dual religious identity – he was both a Taoist and a Muslim. This has caught the attention of the Islamic Court and raised questions about their father’s burial arrangements. The younger brother tries to unveil the truth, only to get lost in the labyrinth of cultural and emotional complications.
The brothers finally decide to bury their father’s body in the Chinese cemetery – a move which sparks the fight to seize the body from the other party. Amidst this chaos, the body disappears, as if it never existed. From a molehill comes a mountain; from a mountain comes nothingness. The story ends. All is gone, except this absurd inquiry about death.
