Join Tan Shou Chen on Director's Lab Sharing Sessions as he presents the progress on his project, which has been guided by questions: where does theatre and the actor fit in contemporary Singapore? and What is the value of theatre?

Chen is working on a new staging of Medea. The Greek epic Medea is a story of betrayal, of dreams lost and of desperation. It is also a story of immigration, sexism and jsutice. A story that we can relate to, a story for us. The sharing session will be the culmination of over a year of reserach under The Substation's Director's Lab program.

The Directors' Lab is a research, development and mentorship programme for emerging local theatre practitioners keen on researching and developing new and/or specific directing methodologies in theatre and the performing arts in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
