Mark your calendars for the screening of King Hu Wuxia Classics 'Come Drink with Me', as part for the Singapore Chinese Film Festival.

 

Come Drink with Me is a 1996 Hong Kong wuxia film directed by King Hu. The story starts of when a general's son was taken hostage by bandits as leverage to have their leader released. Golden Swallow, a woman and another offspring of the general was sent to rescue the son. In the process of rescuing the general's son, she was recued by what has known to be a drunk beggar named Fan Da-Pei who was actually a Kung Fu Master. When Golden Swallow learned the bandits whereabouts, she penetated the temple but was badly injured. The bandits on the other hand was lead by the evil Liao Kung. Fan knew who Liao Kung was but was hesitant to fight him because of the good deed that he did for him back in the days when he was an orphan. The eveil abbot then forces a showdown with Fan Da-Pei.
