Mad Love invites artists to interpret and recontextualize the subject and extremities of love, sex and desire in these contemporary times, reflected through their various modes of expressions (from photography to painting, street art and even furniture design).
Artists include Hong Kong photographer Wing Shya, most prominent for his works with filmmaker Wong Kar Wai; Japanese street artist Madsaki, who is widely touted as Japan’s Banksy, and emerging photographer Yonehara Yasumasa, also known as the new generation Nobuyoshi Araki.
Other artists in the lineup include Natanel Gluska (Switzerland), Liang Yifeng (China), Frank Le Petite (Japan) and Tomoko (Japan). The result is an expressive breath of works which begs the question: If love knows no boundaries, just how far or maddening can it get?
