Ramayana - An Exhibition of Madhubani Art

This is an exhibition of Ramayana paintings done in the Madhubani style of folk art painting originated from the Mithila people in Bihar, Northern India.

Madhu means honey and ban means forest. A style of painting that has been passed down many generations, the Mithila women in particular use it to decorate the mud walls of their houses with geometrical designs of birds, flowers and animals.
