Swar Samhita – A Coming Together - A Carnatic and Hindustani Violin Jugalbandhi

Lalgudi Krishnan, an upholder of the Lalgudi Jayaraman tradition, is an outstanding musician today who is well known for his melody and remarkable techinique on the violin. Krishnan is disciple and son of the late legendary Indian carnatic violinist, vocalist and composer Lalgudi Jayaraman, who was recognised for his work by the Government of India in 2001. Sriram Parasuram, one of India’s leading musicians today, plays the violin in hindustani and carnatic styles.

They come together in a unique confluence of carnatic and hindustani styles of violin playing.
