As with most years, Hollywood is releasing a plethora of sequels in 2015.
One of the most anticipated is 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', the first film in the franchise being made by Disney, which hopes to reignite the passions of fans after the relatively disappointing George Lucas-helmed prequels.
Disney also have on their slate 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' which looks set to mirror the success of the original which made US$1.5 billion (S$2 billion) at the international box office, making it the third most successful film of all time.
'The Hunger Games' team are also back for their final outing with 'Mockingjay - Part Two' but in case fans of that series feel a little lost after it finishes, Lionsgate who are the studio behind the franchise also have 'Insurgent'– the sequel to the teenage thriller 'Divergent' also set in a dystopian future.

Like the dinosaurs, Liam Neeson is also on the rampage in January with the release of the third 'Taken' films. And revving it up for 2015, is 'Furious 7'. The film was originally slated for release in summer 2014, but after the untimely death of Paul Walker, it will finally be racing into cinemas in April.
