Ahead of her 30th birthday, the Maine-born actress revealed in the 'Twilight' movies is lining up project after project. The latest is 'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates', a comedy in which she is set to co-star with Zac Efron.
Despite her young age, Anna Kendrick is already a veteran thespian. At the tender age of 12, her role in the Broadway musical 'High Society' earned her a nomination at the Tony Awards.
After several years on the theater circuit, including a role in 'A Little Night Music' with Jeremy Irons, Kendrick made her way onto the small screen for the first time in 2003.
Breakthrough roles in 'Twilight' and 'Up in the Air'
In 2003, 'Camp' gave Kendrick her first film appearance, as well as an opportunity to showcase her singing talent.
But the role that would propel her career came four years later, in 2007, when she was cast as Jessica Stanley, best friend to Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) in the adaptations of the 'Twilight' novels.

The movie franchise was such a success that, despite playing a supporting role, the actress gained international fame and took her career to a new level.
In 2009, movie fans saw her in an entirely different light in Jason Reitman's 'Up in the Air', in which she co-starred with George Clooney and Vera Farmiga. The role brought her a slew of nominations at the Oscars, the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards.
A reputation confirmed in 2015
After additional supporting roles in critically acclaimed films such as 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' and 'End of Watch', Kendrick saw her career skyrocket in 2014 and has kept up the momentum since.
After playing Cinderella in Rob Marshall's 'Into the Woods', she shared the screen with Jennifer Aniston in 'Cake' and with Ryan Reynolds in Marjane Satrapi's 'The Voices'.

Later this year, she will appear in 'The Hollars', the first feature directed by John Krasinki ('The Office'); 'Get a Job' starring Bryan Cranston ('Breaking Bad'); and the romantic comedy 'Mr. Right' with Sam Rockwell and Tim Roth.
Currently, Kendrick is on the set of Gavin O'Connor's crime drama 'The Accountant', which also stars Ben Affleck and J.K. Simmons. Next up on her schedule are two wedding comedies: 'Table 19' and 'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates'.
