Calling all aspiring female models! Do you think you have what it takes to be the continent’s next top fashion superstar?
Asia’s Next Top Model, a Pan-Asian adaptation of the highly rated reality competition programme “America’s Next Top Model”, is set to begin production.
The new television series will follow a group of young women of various backgrounds from across Asia, as they live together and compete for the coveted prize of major modelling contract and a chance do a cover shoot and photo spread for a top fashion magazine.
Well-known celebrity and former international model, Nadya Hutagalung, has been announced as the host of the show. And like Tyra Banks before her, the Indonesian-Australian beauty simply couldn’t want to dish out some valuable advice to the budding hopefuls.
“To be a top model takes determination, hard work and focus. There is also a great need to be a consummate professional”, comments Hutagalung. There are so many beautiful girls in Asia aspiring to walk the catwalks of Milan and Paris. This show intends to find them, mentor and coach them to help fast track their rise to international success.”
And with Asia’s Next Top Model’s launch planned for late 2012, the casting call for the series has just been rolled out. Females, aged 18-27, of Asian descent, and currently residing in Asia, or have a permanent address in any of the Asian countries and who is fluent in English, will be eligible to sign up.
