Warner Bros is now in talks to nab the movie rights to the book, and the 'American Sniper' actor is expected to produce and possibly star in the adaptation, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
'Orphan X' will be an adaptation of the eponymous novel by author Greg Hurwitz, who is set to pen the screenplay.
The story follows Evan Smoak, a so-called "Nowhere Man" who helps others and renders justice by any means necessary, sometimes through violence. One mission sends him into the world of human slavery in the heart of Los Angeles.
If Warner Bros picks up the film rights, Bradley Cooper is set to produce the thriller and take on the title role. Depending on its reception, the feature could become the first in a multi-film franchise.
