1. The Carnival of Animals and Peter and the Wolf

    Kids and parents alike will adore this double bill promising a smorgasbord of classical music, theatrical animation and acts of skill and strength. The two classics together will provide an evening of entertainment suitable for the whole family.

    Friday May 21 and Saturday May 22 only, at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets from $20 to $80.

     

    2. Ramayana Under the Stars

      Watch a re-enactment of the epic poem al-fresco style, as you discover the joys of gamelan music and be wowed by the traditional and mask dance performances. Also, don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch an authentic wayang kulit performance, all the way from Indonesia. There’s also gamelan instruments on display, plus a flea market on the grounds.

      Saturday May 22 only, at Stamford Green. Free.

       

      3. The Magic Flute

        Probably one of Mozart’s most beloved operas, discover the fairytale worlds of prince and princesses, murder and intrigue in court and medieval jesting told through the spellbinding music and visuals.

        From Sunday to Thursday, May 23-27 only, at the Esplanade Theatre. Tickets from $15 to $130.

         

        4. Infinity Rock Explosion

        Don’t miss one of Australia’s most beloved comedy band The Axis of Awesome as they sing, talk, play and generally wow the crowd with their unique brand of quirky original songs, catchy pop-parodies and hilarious banter.

        From Thursday to Saturday, at the Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets at $35.

         

        5. The Strip Show

        Ever had difficulty coming out of your shell and achieving your wildest dreams? Whether it was performing a concert, expressing yourself through art, doing standup in public or moving people through music, it’s never too late. Here’s your chance to catch the next generation of talents in Singapore at this concert and exhibition space.

        Saturday only, at Merchant Loop. Tickets at $15.
