Dealer’ Choice, Paco Renteria & more this weekend!

Join this motley crew of men in a seemingly innocent poker session. During the game, they laugh about life, argue about women and fight about everything else. Find out who of the six will outwit, outlast or outplay the others. It is all about the survival of the fittest. Dealer's Choice stars Adrian Pang, Andy Tear, Daniel Jenkins, Daniel York, Julian Low and Keagan Kang. Through Oct 16.

Syndicate, the local music scene’s genre benders toss up another edition of their mind-bending parties at Home Club. HOME & OBEY presents SYNDICATE Ft. Samiyam. Samiyam is part of LA’s cutting edge Low End Theory crew and he brings with him his brand of downtempo hip hop fused with synthline sound and post-bump rhythms. Don’t miss this one.

More musical madness can be had at The Substation. If you’re into Psychedelic Rock, Free Jazz, Avant-garde, Folk, and World Music, don’t miss out on Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters: Intromission Polar that’s happening on Saturday. So join Under the Velvet Sky as they team up with Gulayu Arkestra in a mind-altering show with alternative instruments, improvisation, and psychedelia.

Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters: Intromission Polar
