If you can’t get enough of dragons, head on down to the Singapore Philatelic Museum. Currently ongoing exhibition, Imagine Dragons features an international collection of about 300 stamps and philatelic materials dating from 1959 that features dragons, including Singapore's 2012 Dragon Zodiac Collector's Sheet. You will be taken on a quest to explore the world of dragons. Legends of these imaginary creatures appear everywhere in the world and in Singapore the most common is the Chinese "long", which is made up of the elements of at least seven different animals.
To usher in the Year of the Dragon, Sentosa transforms into a whimsical world featuring floral creations and interactive photo opportunities inspired by legends and myths of the Chinese zodiac Dragon, as well as creatures such as dinosaurs and fairies. This eight day Sentosa Flowers showcase features 100,000 plants which includes some 800 species. Highlights include Dragon Living by the Sea, a massive floral dragon sculpture in the water fountain in front of the Merlion.
Don’t miss this ground-breaking exhibition at 8Q at SAM. The Singapore Show: Future Proof features artworks by an exciting mix of young artists with innovative and original art practices within their disciplines. Their strong and consistent presence in the local and international contemporary art landscape has helped enliven the local creative scene and inspired the birth of numerous other self-taught artists in Singapore.
