The Canadian actress who rose to fame on 'Lost' is in talks to play the female lead in Marvel's 'Ant-Man', coming to theaters in summer 2015.
Evangeline Lilly is still in the early stages of negotiations with producers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details on the role offered to the 34-year-old actress remain vague, but the character is nonetheless expected to make more than one appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the fictional universe created in 2008 through 'Iron Man'.
Helmed by British director Edgar Wright ('Shaun of the Dead'), 'Ant-Man' will tell the story of how Scott Lang, an engineer, comes to replace Henry Pym as the man in the Ant-Man suit, who has the power to change his size and to communicate with insects. The transfer of (super) power will be depicted on screen by Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. Michael Pena rounds out the cast.
'Ant-Man' is scheduled for US release on 17 July, 2015
