Vroom, vroom! The adrenaline is building and if you haven’t been hiding under a rock the past couple of weeks, you’ll have heard gossip of all the mega-stars descending upon our shores to perform for the Formula 1 audience!
That’s right, apart from flashy, racing cars, the Formula 1 grounds is chock-full of other entertainment as well. Ranging from superstar celebrity artistes and DJs, to artistic entertainment, to outdoor performances with enormous pizzazz, the fun never stops amidst the festivities of the GP season.
Headliners to this year’s Formula 1 entertainment lineup are Grammy-winning alt-metal act Linkin Park, which will be performing on Race Day (Sept 25, Sun) itself.
Also in the celebrity lineup are also Grammy-award winning reggae star Shaggy, who performs at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre on Sept 24 (Sat) and the Village Stage on race day, as well as up-and-coming singing sensation Charice, who plays at the Padang on Sept 23 (Fri). Retro icon Rick Astley plays on Sept 24 (Sat) at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre before Shaggy, and the Village Stage on Race Day (Sept 25, Sun).
On top of all the other highlights already mentioned, we’re about to reveal two more red-hot artistes that is guaranteed to make Sept 24 (Sat) a night to remember. Colombian superstar Shakira has also been confirmed to set the stage ablaze with her sizzling sultriness on Sept 24 (Saturday) at the Padang Main Stage during the 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.
Joining the sexy singer on Saturday is 80s icon and superstar DJ, Boy George who will perform his greatest hits and chart-toppers such a “Karma Chameleon”, “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” and “Bow Down Mister at the Village Stage (Zone 1).
For the first time ever in Singapore F1 history, Asian pop is also getting a shout-out. K-Pop fans are in for a treat as Korean superstars G-Dragon, T.O.P and Seungri from the wildly popular Korean boy band Big Bang will be bringing a dose of K-Pop chart toppers to the Marina Bay street circuit’s Padang Stage on Sept 23, Friday.
Also look out for full blown water spectacle Ocean Symphony, aerial acrobats Transe Express, Brazilian dancers, African Mambo-Jambo performers, Venetian-themed theatrical artists, Bollywood show artists and a number of gifted talents in the performing arts showcasing their talents in different arenas.

Tickets for the 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix are priced from S$118 for a Saturday single-day Zone 4 Walkabout ticket to S$1,288 for a three-day Turn 1 or 2 Grandstand ticket. All tickets allow patrons access to the Padang main stage in Zone 4, where the celebrity headliners will be performing.
