Guess who will get her Amazon on?
Gal Gadot, who played a supporting role in the past three 'Fast & Furious' films, has been cast as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros. upcoming untitled sequel to 'Man of Steel', the studio announced Wednesday.

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe,” said Zack Snyder, director of the sequel that fans are tentatively calling 'Batman vs. Superman'.
“Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Although full casting details still remain a mystery, the 28-year-old Israeli will definitely appear alongside Affleck (as Batman) and Henry Cavill's Superman.
There is still no official word from Warner whether a full Wonder Woman franchise will be launched after the 'Man of Steel' sequel though many have tried to revive the star-spangled Amazon princess ever since Lynda Carter hung up her magic lasso.
'Avengers' director was hired in 2007 to write and direct a feature but the project never took off. Most recently, David E. Kelly shot Adrianne Palicki as the titular Wonder Woman for an NBC pilot. That too never got off the ground.
The news completes what comic book fans call the "trinity" of DC Comics which refers to the 2002 story arc featuring Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman.
The casting is also a huge break for Gadot. The actress played Gisele Yashar, a cartel member in 'Fast & Furious' and a member of Dom's (Vin Diesel) heist crew in 'Fast Five' and 'Fast & Furious 6'.
She also has appeared in 'Date Night' with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey as well as action movie 'Knight and Day' alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
