As kids, we loved Chinese New Year! New clothes, red packets and lots of yummy goodies – what more can you ask for? Well, going by this year’s kids-themed festivities, apparently so much more!
Now all grown up (but still young at heart), we’re nothing if not envious of today’s kids. You’re only young once, so enjoy the festivities to the fullest. Age limit or not, we know we’ll definitely partake!
Festivities at the Zoo and Bird Park
For some educational fun, check out the Bunny Wonderland stamp exhibition (until June 30) and meet famous bunnies through the generations. In the mood for rabbit madness? Don’t miss Bunny Mania (until Feb 28), a special exhibition featuring bunny-themed optical illusions!
If all the festivities have your young ones itching to lay their hands on something, try the Bean Art Workshop (Feb 6-12, suitable for kids between 4-7), where you’re guaranteed a great time designing Chinese New Year pictures using mainly beans! For kids who are cut-and-paste experts, the Fabric Postcard workshop (Feb 5-13) is calling out to you.
Bean Art Workshop
Wow, what an exciting line-up! Your kids will never have a dull moment this festive season…and neither will you! Don’t forget to check out our other preview guides up, like those for the River Hongbao, Chingay and most importantly, what you can do this weekend for free.
