The buzz: The low budget horror managed to oust big-budget films like "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" from the top spot in the U.S. box office chart, resulting in an impressive total gross of $33.7 million when it opened. But its fortune slides after opening weekend, after audiences weren’t that too impressed with the movie’s premise and it’s abrupt ending.

The story: In Italy, twentysomething Isabella Rossi (Fernanda Andrade) becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her Maria (Suzan Crowely), who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism. When she recruits two young exorcists (Simon Quarterman and Evan Helmuth) to cure her mom using unconventional methods combining both science and religion, they come face-to-face with pure evil in the form of four powerful demons possessing Maria. Many have been possessed by one; only one has been possessed by many
