First Look: New 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' clip

Boom. A puff of smoke and the first clip for magician comedy 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' has appeared online, and it features a tense showdown between rival illusionists Jim Carrey and Steve Carell.

The film stars Steve Carell as a Vegas magician whose relationship with his partner (Steve Buscemi) becomes strained as the two start getting upstaged by a hipper illusionist (Jim Carrey).

The clip features Carrey walking into a magician's bar where Steve Carrell's Burt Wonderstone confronts him and say: "What you do is not magic... It is monkey porn."

“It’s not about pulling a rabbit out of a hat any more,” Carrey's Steve Gray says patronisingly, “It’s about pulling your heart out of your chest.”

The movie also stars Olivia Wilde as a magician's assistant, Alan Arkin as a retired magician as well as Jay Mohr and James Gandolfini. Written by ‘Horrible Bosses’ scribes Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, and directed by ‘30 Rock’ veteran Don Scardino, you can be assured that there will be plenty of laughs in this one.

Not to mention that amount of comedy talent featured. We get to see Steve Buscemi returning to comedy after playing a gangster on ‘Boardwalk Empire’ as well as Jim Carrey as an up-and-coming street magician. So expect lots of sequins, velvet, outrageous hair, ridiculous stage moves and, of course, the laughs for this one.

'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' opens 14 March 2013
