First Look: Channing Tatum saves the president in 'White House Down'

A trailer has been unveiled for 'White House Down', which will see director Roland Emmerich blow up the White House again just as he did 17 years ago in 'Independence Day'.

The solemn but action-packed trailer gives spectators details about the thriller starring Channing Tatum. The actor will play a police officer who gets caught up in a coup d'état during a visit to the White House. He will have to save his daughter, as well as the president, played by Jamie Foxx.

'White House Down' will open here on 27 June.

In the meantime, action film fans can catch 'Olympus Has Fallen' in cinemas. The character played by Scottish actor Gerard Butler must save the American presidential residence when it is attacked by North Korea. Aaron Eckhart plays the president in this movie directed by Antoine Fuqua.
