Clint Eastwood's period piece 'Jersey Boys' charts the phenomenal success of 1960s rock 'n' roll vocal group The Four Seasons.
Based on the multithreaded Tony-winning musical play, 'Jersey Boys' was reworked for cinema by 'Gladiator', 'The Aviator' and 'Hugo' screenplay writer John Logan.
It wasn't just talent that got Valli and his lads to the top; a keen-eyed underworld investor made sure they had the right connections, and there were plenty of ups and downs along the way: secret debts and strained relationships threaten to wreck the band along the way.
Slipping into the shoes of charismatic lead singer Frankie Valli is John Lloyd Young, who already won a Tony and a Grammy for the same portrayal in the Broadway musical.
Christopher Walken appears as crime boss Angelo DeCarlo, while 'Boardwalk Empire' actor Vincent Piazza can be seen as Tommy DeVito, part of Valli's group, alongside two other vocalists from the stage production, Erich Bergen and Michael Lomenda.
