Director Zack Snyder surprised Comic-Con crowds this morning by opening up Warner Bros.' big panel with art and a teaser for 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice', as well as a first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
The image shows the superhero ready for battle while standing in a volcanic landscape.
The new Wonder Woman has kept the figure hugging bustier, thigh high boots and gold head and wristbands of Lynda Carter's iconic 1970s version of the comic book star.
Director Zack wrote alongside the post: 'Great time at #SDCC this year!'
Warner Bros. kicked of their Hall H panel presentation with details of the upcoming 'Dawn of Justice'.
First, Zack Snyder appeared onstage to reveal photos – including a first look at Gal Gadot in full Wonder Woman armour. Second, Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gadot joined Snyder onstage. Then a brief teaser reel from the movie was screened.
According to SlashFilm, the brief teaser begins with Batman in an armoured suit that looks like it's right out of Frank Miller’s 'The Dark Knight Returns'. Batman then turns on the Bat-signal, illuminating Superman up in the sky, who's staring down Batman.
"I couldn’t be happier with the way everything is going," Snyder said.
"Talent, sets, special effects - it’s going amazingly well."
