First Look: New trailer counts down to 'Interstellar' lift-off

The much-anticipated release of Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' draws ever near.

With about a month to go before lift-off, the studio gods released the movie's final (and jaw-dropping) trailer of the forthcoming space epic, which raises the stakes significantly for Matthew McConaughey's character's mission to find another home for the human race.

"Your daughter's generation will be the last to survive on Earth," says Michael Caine's character.

The story centers on a team of explorers traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.

Nolan's penchant for big visuals is all over the trailer: From massive walls of water on alien planets to shots of deep space. The concept of travelling to other world's being humanity's last resort to survive is a horrifying idea but this future nightmare, in Nolan's hands is just too spectacular not to see.

Cast includes Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn and John Lithgow.

Warner Bros. have also released a new featurette (see below) with astrophysicist Kip Thorne who consulted on the script.

'Interstellar' opens in Singapore 6 November
