Short on cash but big on time? We scour the calendar to bring you some of Singapore’s funnest events.

Sometimes, the best inspiration comes from areas we often overlook. From now till the 15th of July, the exhibition Faces, Hands, Feet & Little Things, features a series of paintings, drawings and small scales installations enkindled from chin, the artist’s, observant detailings  of everyday life.

Singapore’s F1 season is coming on strong! Live out your speed dreams for a day at the Singtel F1 Road Show @ Bishan. Adrenaline junkies can get their activity fix from the mini Go-Kart races. Those a little less hyper aren’t left out. There will be a live screening of the Grand Prix as well as a multitude of competitions with attractive prizes to be won. Hurry! The motors are only starting to rev up!

Speaking of cars, F1’s got you looking to replace your ride??Look no further than CAT’s Classified Car-nival. Held on 8th July only, you can find great bargains on new and pre-owned cars, car products and services on this day-long event. Even better, this family-fun carnival will host a Beauty Queen Pageant, a movie screening as well as a super cute baby and parent crawling race!

Broadway comes alive at the Esplanade theatre this weekend! Revisit iconic musical favourites such as Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Puccini’s La Boheme, Schönberg’s Miss Saigon and Les Miserables. This is a very special treat that will transport you to an afternoon of audio delight!

Take a stroll off the beaten path and bring out your binoculars as you go for a Bird Watching cum Nature Walk with the Nature Society this Saturday. Enjoy Kranji Reservoir’s scenic vistas and lush wildlife. The Kranji Reservoir area is home to a number of species such as Lesser Whitling Duck and Purple Heron. What’s more, you can how to better your practices and contribution to greater water stewardship. Remember to register early as space is limited.

Finally, the fire has been ignited again! Republic Polytechnic’s Ignite is back for its fifth year, bigger and better than before, with a star-studded line up of homegrown acts! This highlight in Singapore’s music scene showcases acts such as The Great Spy Experiment, 53A, as well as Republic Polytechnic alumni Natalie’s Plight. This event is only held on the 6th (5.30pm - 10.30pm) and 7th of July (3.30- 10.30 pm) only, so hurry before you miss it!
