If you’ve missed out on rocking out with them in the rain at Fort Canning Park during the recent Laneway Festival, here’s another chance.
Warpaint, the all-girl experimental indie quartet from Los Angeles, is returning to Singapore for a show on 2 August 2011 at St. James Power Station.
The band - comprising Emily Kokal (Vocals/Guitar), Theresa Wayman (Guitar/Vocals), Jenny Lee Lindberg (Bass/Vocals) and Stella Mozgawa (Drums) - performed at the inaugural Singapore leg of St Jerome's Laneway Festival at Fort Canning Park in January.
Warpaint released their debut EP, Exquisite Corpse, in 2008. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante, who incidentally was Kokal’s boyfriend at the time, mixed and mastered the EP. The band released their debut album, The Fool, in October 2010 to critical acclaim.
Warpaint Live in Singapore is on Aug 2, 7pm, at Powerhouse, St. James Power Station. Tickets $65 – includes 1 Drink
