The Naked and Famous (NZ)
The #1 Chart Toppers of New Zealand is coming to Singapore! The indie pop group has received six nominations at the New Zealand Music Awards 2011. With their addictive track “Young Blood”, it’s not ‘okay’ to miss their performance at TPP.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra (US/NZ)
With an ‘alien-beatnik pop’ tune titled ‘Ffunny Ffrends’ which was featured on music blogs worldwide, the indie pop group is far from being ‘unknown’. Established in 2010, the Unknown Mortal Orchestra will tickle your ear drums with their “sweet little dose of ear candy”.
The Jezabels (AUS)
Known to stun audiences wherever they play, The Jezabels are an indie pop-rock band that have risen to fame with their #1 album on the Australian iTunes chart in September 2010. With songs like “She’s so Hard” and “Mace Spray”, you are sure to move to their grooves. It will also be their first full tour of the region.
Made up of only two people, one on the drums and another playing bass, this duo packs a punch. Known for their bearded appearance and rocking good music, and deemed as “city-destroying stuff in the best sense” by Channel [V], this Hong Kong based band is sure to give you a rockin’ good time.
Plain Sunset (SG)
The indie-rock four-piece band has been playing for 12 years, so ensuring that their audiences have a good time is guaranteed. With songs like “The River Song” and “Blank Faces”, you’re sure to knock yourselves out if you miss out on their act.
In Each Hand a Cutlass (SG)
Remember Amanda Ling? Alongside four others, they make up In Each Hand a Cutlass. Playing a spectrum of sounds from instrumental songs and post rock to ambient, they will be turning heads with their intoxicating sounds at the gig.
The Analog Girl (SG)
Named by TIME magazine as one of ‘5 Music Acts to watch in 2008’, this solo artist has played in New York, London and Paris. With dreamy, futuristic and electro-pop all rolled into one, it’s no wonder her track was used for a Nike Europe retail campaign in 2005.
