You’ve probably have danced--and sang--along to his hit tune, “Jai Ho” (made famous by none other than The PussyCat Dolls). Composer-singer AR Rahman whose genius have garnered him numerous awards will be holding court at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre this March 17 to 20.
Most recently, Rahman's work for the Danny Boyle film 127 Hours garnered him Golden Globe, BAFTA, and two Academy Award nominations for Best Original Music Score and Best Original Song in 2011.
Speaking at a press conference prior to his concert, Rahman says that he is extremely excited to be performing here and is looking forward to showcase Indian music. According to Rahman, audiences here can expect an intimate concert featuring songs they’ve heard and loved over the years.
Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour will feature music from Rahman’s Indian blockbusters such as Lagaan, Roja and even Slumdog Millionaire. He will be supported by a massive cast of 10 musicians, 10 singers and 12 dancers.
