"Jenny from the block" is heading to Singapore to headline the entertainment acts at the Formula One night race in Singapore.
She will be the closing act at the post-race concert on the Padang stage on Sunday 21 September.
After 15 years in the music industry, Jennifer Lopez has an enviable resume of greatest hits. The triple-threat (she acts, dances and sings) has two Grammy awards to her name, record sales in excess of US$80 million (about S$100 million), a cumulative box office gross of more than US$2 billion, and has just released her 10th album ‘A.K.A’ after a three-year hiatus.

Responsible for dance-floor filler hits such as ‘On The Floor’ and ‘Dance Again’, the Latina pop superstar will have no problems getting the party started. She most recently performed the 2014 FIFA World Cup theme song, ‘We Are One’, at the opening ceremony in Sao Paulo, Brazil, alongside Pitbull and Claudia Leitte.
This will be J-Lo's second time in Singapore, having last played at Gardens by the Bay in 2012. Back then, a 15,000-strong crowd witnessed the siren, who is equally famous for her full bottom and her status as a fashion icon, burn up the stage.
Lopez joins the likes of Taiwanese band Mayday (Friday 19 September), British singer Robbie Williams (Saturday 20 September) as well as John Legend, Ziggy Marley and The Pet Shop Boys to make up the entertainment line-up on race weekend.
Singapore GP will be adding more artistes to the list in the coming months.
