Julian Casablancas does not go unheard in the indie rock scene, having reigned in the music arena since 1998 with The Strokes.
He formed Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, or simply The Voidz, in 2013 and they have recently released their debut album ‘Tyranny’.
A blend of progressive electro-rock with a side of punk, ‘Tyranny’ touches on themes of capitalism, war, and political unrest, portraying the complexity of truth and morality in songs such as ‘Take Me in Your Army’ and ‘Where No Eagles Fly’.
Jumping on the New Year’s festive mood, Singapore-based music promoter Secret Sounds Asia has scored a slot for The Voidz to perform in Singapore on 10 January 2015 at The Coliseum in Hard Rock Hotel Singapore on Sentosa Island.
Having recently performed to screaming crowds at Montreal’s Corona Theatre, The Voidz is set to blaze the stage here not just with tracks from ‘Tyranny’, but selected material from The Strokes’ and Casablancas’ own repertoire.
