American pop singer Katy Perry will make her third visit to Singapore as part of her 'Prismatic World Tour', performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 11 May 2015.
Just last year, Perry sold out 17 arenas in the UK, 66 in North America and 25 in Australia and New Zealand. Her travels this year will culminate with a headliner at ‘Rock in Rio’ in Brazil on 25 September.
Career-wise, she has sold an impressive 11 million albums and 81 million singles worldwide and has bagged numerous awards. She has was also on the list of Forbes’ 'Top Earning Women In Music' for three consecutive years (2011-2013).
“I’m thrilled to bring the 'Prismatic World Tour' to some of my favourite places in Asia, take in the sights and culture, share my music and meet all of the new fans,” Perry said in a press statement.
The state-of-the-art stage design for the tour (designed by the singer herself) will allow her to do just that, providing a magical experience from every angle within the arena.
‘Prism’ has already matched the sales of its predecessor, two of its singles ‘Roar’ and ‘Dark Horse’ hitting the number one spot for multiple weeks while helping her snag a new Top 40 record for most weeks spent at number one on the Billboard charts.
She is also the first artiste to surpass the 75 million digital award threshold, including digital downloads and on-demand streams, by also being 20 million ahead of any other artiste.
