Kiddie fun during F1!

While some forward-thinking parents may beg to differ, Formula 1 is by and large considered adult entertainment. As the event stretches into all hours of the night, the screech of burning tires becomes rapidly replaced by thumping music, stellar superstar performances and lots of boozy merrymaking.

If you’re interested to know the full scoop on what’s going on, check out our F1 party guide and the full F1 entertainment lineup.

Although most of us come to the consensus that tt’s probably in everyone’s best interest to leave Junior at home, don’t fret as there’s still plenty of other kid-centric activities on in the month of September to keep them happy and smiling.

Besides, the good news is they’ll probably be so worn out that they’ll hit the sack once home, leaving parents ample time to head out and partake in the season’s revelries. Want to know what they are? Read on!

While Mickey and the Disney folks may have finished their run, kids still have Elmo and the loveable Sesame Street characters to squeal over as they don’t leave our shores until October.  Another beloved children’s character, Sleeping Beauty, will also be performing here from end September to mid-October. If this reinvented version doesn’t make you laugh, you must surely be made of stone!

Another good bet to keep your kids entertained is BOY (Sept 17-18, Sat-Sun), which tells the poignant, tender tale of a boy who has to go on an inner journey to realize that he already has everything he could possibly desire in the world.

For budding auteurs, don’t miss Little Ghostly Adventures of the Tofu Boy (Sept 18, Sun), which is a whimsical adventure into spirit folklore that will bring on the smiles.

Alternatively, get your kids to engage in some physical activity for a good cause with the POSB Passion Run for Kids where proceeds will go to the POSB Passion Kids’ Fund to support the development of community initiatives for children. It’s fun, too!
