Too soon? 'Lego Movie' sequel already underway

There's little doubt that 'The Lego Movie' will be a box office success, and with that in mind Warner Bros. is already preparing a follow up, according to The Wrap.

Attached to the project are scriptwriters Jared Stern ('Mr. Popper's Penguins', 'The Internship') and Michelle Morgan ('Girl Most Likely'), while 'The Lego Movie' is expected to make over US$40 million (S$50.7 million) upon its debut this weekend.

Alongside Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote the imminent 'Lego Movie', Jared Stern is part of a Warner Bros writers' collective focused on animated work, notes The Wrap; also part of the group are Nicholas Stoller ('The Muppets', 'Yes Man') as well as Glenn Ficarra and John Requa ('I Love You Phillip Morris', 'Crazy, Stupid, Love).
