Light up your nights!

inSing.com is proud to be the Official Events Guide for i Light Marina Bay.

Asia’s very first sustainable light art festival i Light Marina Bay commences right here in Singapore and we have reason to believe it will transform the already-stunning Marina Bay area into something truly spectacular.

With over 20 dynamic light art installations and sculptures, plus interactive and performance-based art displays by more than 30 local and international artists peppered around the bay, this looks set to rock your nights. Best part is it’s all free!

Don’t believe us? Read on!

CAN'T MISS

One of the most exciting installations on display is My Public Garden, which features 29 whopping giant-sized light artworks depicting a magical, whimsical garden. This is held down by the water at The Promontory, which is also hosting PICNOPOLIS, a nouvelle concept in town which includes sixty BabyPlane art installations and a mass picnic under the stars.

For a picnic with a twist, dress (your picnic basket) to impress, since there’s going to be a prize given for ‘Night Picnic of the Year’ on Oct 16!

The Light Walk around Marina Bay also takes you past Flora Magica, a ‘blooming’ installation custom-made to suit the unique façade of the 32-storey Maybank Tower. Another installation, I C U Standt:punkt, promises to deck the seating gallery at The Float@ Marina Bay out in light art projections.

One noteworthy performance is Hammerhaus, which utilizes a visual piano and sampler sequencer to convert soundscapes into light art projections, leading to a really fun abstract sound and visual experience.

For a taste of what's in store, check out the teaser trailer below:

Other attractions include Positive Attracts, which blushes rainbow-bright when you go near, Animal Tree, a light pole sculpture built out of happy bears and Digital Origami Tigers, as part of the Year of the Tiger campaign for the World Wildlife Fund.

You could do the Walk on your own and it would be awesome, but for a more interactive experience sign up for the guided tours! (It’s free too.)

Be inspired to go green with our pick of some of the most eco-friendly installations at the Festival!

Check out the rest of the festivals happening in the month of October.

i Light Marina Bay is on from Oct 15 to Nov 7, at the Marina Bay. Free admission.
