The moment we’ve all been eagerly anticipating is here – Marina Bay Sandsopened its first phase on Tuesday April 27, at the auspicious time of 3.18pm. 963 out of 2,560 hotel rooms, a portion of its shopping mall, some restaurants, the Sands Expo and Convention Center, the event plaza and – most importantly – the casino, are now welcoming guests.

The rest of the hotel rooms and suites, the Sands SkyPark and additional shops will be available as part of the Grand Opening on June 23. The museum, theaters and the remainder of the shops will open towards the end of the year.

Punters have much reason to rejoice with the opening of the casino. It offers three levels of gaming floor-space, with over 1600 slot machines (including a variety of jackpots) and a great selection of the newest and most popular electronic gaming machines in the world, including more than 250 themes and game titles.
