Sad to see it go, the sun is setting on our last long weekend of the year (the next one’s in November). As usual the days will whizz past, leaving us wondering where the hours went but before we bid adieu to the second last three-day holiday of the year, we have to throw on our dancing and party shoes for one last hurrah. Well, we did work hard for our money… now it’s time for us to party.
Start Saturday by hitting the beach for the Singapore edition of Amnesia Ibiza. This sonic dance-fest at Siloso Beach in Sentosa sees a host of top DJs and artistes such as Wally Lopez, Mar-T, Les Schmitz, DJ Lottie, CC Sound Factory, Jon White and Zig Zach. As with any beach party, there’ll be loads of eye candy such as international party-girl and socialite Jada Jagger (Mick’s daughter) who plays host and the Amnesia go-go dancers.
The German master of emotive electronics (Read: Trance music) Markus Shulzwill certainly budge your bulk this Saturday at Zouk. Over the last decade, Markus Schulz has fused the individual musical identities of progressive house and trance into his own inimitable sound. His weekly headlining DJ sets in front of many tens of thousands, prominent Global DJ Broadcast radio show listened to by tens of millions. So don’t miss this gig!
Another Japanese-themed party, this time at The Butter Factory. My Japanese Affair sees Japan’s hottest female jock DJ Licca performing a hip hop and R&B set at the club.
For a throwdown on an indie tip, head to Home Club where its hosts Mugic. DJs Mislav and Kentaro keep the fun coming up in the riverside boîte, with special guest Davomann hitting the decks for a night of house, techno, disco and more.
