This diminutive Taiwanese firecracker known for her sexy moves, sweet vocals and her penchant for OTT costumes comes to town this May 7 for her Myself World Tour. She comes with an army 20 models, 16 professional dancers and three hunks who will all accompany her on stage for one massive party. The singer formerly known as Emil, Wakin Chau, swings by the city on May 28 to pay tribute to some of Chinese music’s famous divas. Look forward to the singer-songwriter singing the songs of other popular singers such as Zhou Hsuan, Faye Wong and Wan Fang among others. The diva vibe will even extend to the décor and costumes of the concert with a cheery floral theme. Of course, Chau will be belting out many of his own tunes too.
2011 Show Encore World Live Tour
The undisputed Asian pop king of dance, Show Luo returns on May 14 for an encore concert of epic proportions. Last year’s 3D concert which was inspired by the movie Avatar featured an impressive set that allowed concert goers to experience virtual reality without the use of 3D glasses—and this encore gig will be as show-stopping as last year’s. A reported 30 million NT have been spent on new materials, including a more extravagant stage design, a revised set list and five new costumes, changing two-thirds of the previous content.
The King of Korean Pop, Rain is back to get all the fan-girls screaming at the top of their lungs. He’s already been named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2006, and he’s topped the magazine’s Top 100 online poll for several subsequent years. But that’s not enough for the superstar — after making his Hollywood debut in Ninja Assassin, and challenging Stephen Colbert to a dance-off, Rain’s asserting his influence once more by making TIME’s Top 100 list five years later in 2011. His upcoming concert—The Best World Tour---sees the star performing his hit songs with stunning choreography. And did we mention the dazzling light-show? Make a beeline to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 22.
