You might know River Safari best for the residents of the Giant Panda Forest, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, but Asia's first and only river-themed wildlife park is home to many more giants.
Take Eva the manatee for example. Weighing in at over 1,200kg, she's about the size of a small car! Her fellow inhabitants at the Wild Amazonia Amazon Flooded Forest exhibit are no small fry either; arapaimas are among the world's largest freshwater fish, growing to lengths of over two meters.
As you stroll through the seven river exhibits, each modelled after one of the world's great rivers, you'll meet even more colossal creatures like the Mekong giant catfish, the giant freshwater stingray and the fearsome Indian gharial.
From now until 29 June, 9am to 6pm daily, children will be able to experience River Safari in a unique, educational way with the River Giants Expedition.
Simply grab a mission sheet at the entrance and send them on their way to uncover fascinating facts about the river giants who call the park home.
From now until 6 July, the whole family can take part in the #RiverSelfie Photo Contest. To enter, simply snap a selfie with one of the giants at River Safari and upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #RiverSelfie. Three winners will be chosen and each will take home a set of giant Kai Kai and Jia Jia plushies worth $676.
