More Chinese New Year festivities!

The long weekend may be over, but the festive fun still continues! Carry on ushering in the Year of the Rabbit in style with these festive celebrations that are guaranteed to dispel the grimmest of post-holiday blues.

CAN'T MISS

It’s loud, it’s flashy, it’s actually more fun than you can imagine! The Chingay parade (Fri-Sat, Feb 11-12) is back again, larger and grander than ever. Expect everything from a fiery bang of an opening with a flying pair of 88-metre long dragons, to entourages of God of Fortunes, Harley Davidsons, to dazzling displays put up by an array of foreign contingents.

Don’t forget to check out our Chingay preview guide for more highlights!

If you prefer to catch the festivities (not to mention fireworks) at a vantage point while dining in style, check out the Tiger Lunar Extravaganza (Fri, Feb 11)! The Singapore’s version of Oktoberfest guarantees a roaring good time with great, beer, food in the company of your friends. What more can you ask for?

All these celebrations making your feet twitchy? You’re in luck, with City Alive! (Sat, Feb 12), Singapore’s largest street dance party is happening right around the corner. Catch DJ Sarasa, Cyber Japan babes and more in action as you party the night away!

For something Mom and Dad would happily partake in, check out the All-star Lunar New Year Concert  (Sat, Feb 12) where the evergreen Taiwanese stars take the stage to belt out hits well-loved by one and all.

In the mood for something mellow? Wind down the weekend with Yusheng – Made in Singapore (Sun, Feb 13) where the origins of Yusheng and other trivia are revealed. Before we forget, we’d better mention that the talk ends with participants tucking into the delicious dish as well!

Wow, what a lineup! Have a great week people, and don’t waste it moping over the passing of the holiday season – as far as we’re concerned, we’ve only just begun!
