Mosaic series: Charlie Hadden

WIN TIX to this watch this jazz legend live!

Musician, bandleader, composer, producer, activist, educator and triple Grammy Award winner Charlie Haden needs no introduction. One of the most significant and influential musicians in jazz history, he’s managed to bring his brand of iconic music all over the world.

A double bassist by training, he obtained legendary status by his early twenties by

revolutionizing the harmonic concept of bass-playing in jazz through his collaborations on groundbreaking albums with some of the most important talents in jazz, including Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarrett and Pat Metheny.

For the first time ever, Quartet West will arrive in Singapore as part of its 25th Anniversary tour, helmed by Haden himself! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to experience history in the making.

As Francis Davis writes in the August 2000 issue of The Atlantic Monthly, “No other instrument in jazz is more essential than the bass, both backbone and heartbeat, and Haden is its master.”
