New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ clips swing into action

Face front, true believer! Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man!

If recent trailers haven't been enough to get you excited about ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, then how about a four minute clip showing Spidey in action?

Sony has released a new promotional video that spins forward bits of plot and footage for their upcoming superhero flick.

But if you’re a stickler for spoilers, we recommend that you move away from this page as the footage below contains a few spoilers.

The clip shows Peter Parker aka Spider-Man rescuing a few people, probably from the Lizard’s recent attacks in the city. There are some funny moments in there and that really shows director Marc Webb’s filmmaking style here.

Since we’re on the topic of promo clips, Sony has also released two other vides. One of them is more Lizard-centric with Rhys Ifans talking about his character. Here the new villain in Webb’s reboot is introduced.

As Ifans explains in this new video, Dr. Curtis Connors aka The Lizard holds secrets about Parker's father, who left him when he was still a young-un. There are some nice shots in there of Connors transformation into the big scaly one.

The other video is a ‘recruitment ad’ from Oscorp featuring Rhys Ifans in character pitching the scientific value of his work to aspiring Oscorp interns.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man opens in theatres everywhere on 3 July, 2012.
