Hold on to your hats and Wayfarers folks, are you ready to get thrown into a frenzied state of ‘Lisztomania’? Because French band Phoenix sure thinks you are!
As if the news of the spectacular music lineups from upcoming festivals Camp Symmetry (2 Nov) and St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival (25 Jan) wasn’t enough to fulfill any indie lover’s fantasies, the announcement of Phoenix’s arrival in Singapore is really the icing on the cake.
The synth-pop/new-wave quartet plays at The Star Theatre early next year, on 15 January at 8pm, brought to us by organizers Now/Live Singapore who have previously secured shows from The xx, Tegan and Sara, Bloc Party, and Robyn.
Tickets will launch via Sistic on 11 October at 9am (online), with prices set at $148, $128, $108, $88, and $68.
'Lisztomania' - the Phoenix hit which took the world by storm
Phoenix gained major international recognition with their fourth full-length release titled ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’, which spawned hits such as ‘1901’, ‘Lasso’, and of course ‘Lisztomania’. The album also won a Grammy award for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ in 2009.
And fresh from the April release of their latest album ‘Bankrupt!’, Phoenix is far from disappearing off the music market with strong positive reviews throughout the world.
So in their own words, where would you go (where would you go) with a lasso? Partying it up with Phoenix no less!
