School’s Out – Week 1

Ensure your kids never get bored with our summary of the hottest kids activities on during the week of May 24-May 30.

 

Invent! exhibition

Let your kids go wild with wonder and curiosity at the Science Centre’s latest permanent exhibition. Walk through time and tickle your brains by deciphering hidden images and messages in all the exhibits. These optical illusions give you a chance to see things from a different perspective, and give your mind a bit of a stretch.

Until May 31 2011, at the Science Centre. Tickets at $5 (kids) and $9 (adults).

 

Charlotte’s Web Play

Witness this beloved tale on true friendship, bravery and selfless love that springs from the extraordinary friendship between Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider. You’ll never look at the words ‘Some Pig’ in the same way after this.

Saturday and Sunday, May 29-30 only, at the National Museum. Free.

 

Sunbear baby at the Zoo

Be one of the first to welcome the Zoo’s newest bundle of joy – a yet-to-be-named male baby sun bear. Witness three generations of bears living together in harmony as the new addition completes the trio which includes 33 year old Garang and her daughter Judy.

Until the baby grows up, at the Zoo. Tickets at $12 (kids) and $18 (adults).

 

Under the Banyan Tree movie screenings

Pack your picnic basket and round up the family for some after-dark entertainment at the National Museum. Back by popular demand, this month they they'll be screening Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, followed by the singalong version of Mary Poppins.

Saturday May 29 only, at the National Museum. Free.

 

Family Day Out Carnival

Enjoy a day of family fun in the sun by the beach with activities like tele-matches, booth games, and performances. Bring along shades, sunscreen and plenty of gusto!

Saturday May 29 only, at Sentosa. Free.
