School’s Out – Week 4

There’s still plenty of things to do with your kids during the holidays. Here’s what you can find from June 14 to 20.

 

Art Garden – Children’s Season

For an experience quite unlike any other, head down to the Art Garden at 8Q @ SAM.  The entire building will be transformed into magical art gardens showcasing artist projects and artworks inspired by nature.

Selected for their imagination and interactivity, these displays will be accompanied with captions to engage young visitors with the art works. Excellent for introducing your kids to contemporary art in an interactive, supportive and fun family environment.

From Friday May 14 to Sunday July 18, at SAM@8Q. Usual admission charges apply, free for kids under 6.

 

Li-Ning Singapore Open 2010 Super Series - Badminton

Get your kids inspired to play badminton by bringing them to witness Singapore’s premier badminton tournament. Now supported by global sporting giant Li-Ning, it’ll be a sight to behold watching world-class shuttlers battle it out.

Cats of the World Photo Exhibition

Feline friends, take note. Celebrating the Year of the Tiger with this month-long exhibition will showcase a large and varied selection of more than 50 snapshots of cats captured in their element – graceful, lazy, sneaky, aloof, loving and so on, in unique settings and backdrops around the world.

Until June 29, at the Arts House. Free.

 

Voyage de la Vie

There’s nothing like a circus, but here’s a circus theatre performance that’s sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience. Be one of the first in Singapore to enter the world of the mysterious Lantern Keeper, the charming Crystal Cat and the mesmerizing Diva along with extraordinary inhabitants. Explore the journey of a boy on an adventurous search to discover his destiny. An unforgettable experience of magnificent sets, glamorous costumes and amazing circus feats awaits you and your family.

From June 17, at Resorts World Sentosa. Tickets from $48 to $168.

 

Opera in the Park

Enjoy a lazy weekend evening with your family on the green, picnic basket in tow, and introduce your kids to the world of classics from the likes of Mozart, Bizet, Verdi and Puccini. 

Saturday June 19 only, at the Botanic Gardens. Free.
