Rob Zombie wears many hats, as rock icon, filmmaker and horror legend. But the seven-time Grammy-nominated musician will be in Singapore for the first time on March 5 at Fort Canning Park for a one night only rock concert.
While he had sold over 15 million albums worldwide alongside members of the now disbanded ‘White Zombie’, his fifth album ‘Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor’ sees him continuing the path of rock music domination with his solo project.
The album includes this hard rocking cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s ‘We’re An American Band’.
Joining him on tour are John 5 on guitar, Piggy D on bass and Ginger Fish on drums. The band call port at the renowned Soundwave Festival across Australia just before their Singapore date. Rest assured, they will be duly warmed up.
Also joining the band during the triple-bill, are heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch and glam rockers Black Veil Brides.
Black Veil Brides and Five Finger Death Punch also feature at the concert, which is expected to be over three hours long.
It’s going to be rock 'n' roll mayhem.
Now billed as Singapore Rock Festival 2014, the two-day concert will be held on 5 and 6 March, with plenty of new acts added to the lineup. On day 1, co-headlining with Rob Zombie are nu-metal band Korn. They are joined by support acts Five Finger Death Punch and Black Veil Brides. On day 2 it's a real scorcher with grunge goliaths Alice In Chains alongside hard rockers Alterbridge. Also present will be newly-formed Newsted, fronted by former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted at the helm.
UPDATE (19 February): According to LAMC Productions, Newsted will not be appearing on all scheduled February and March dates, therefore he will not be playing on day 2 of Singapore Rock Fest.
