As the Audi Fashion Festival gets underway at the Tent @ Orchard, another historic fashion event is bubbling away at Marina Bay Sands. The movers and shakers of high fashion returns to Singapore to talk shop… and most importantly source for creative talents. Asia’s brightest design talents are catapulted to international prominence as Blueprint breaks down geographical barriers and opens up lines of trade and communication.
Blueprint 2011, happening from 19-22 at Marina Bay Sands Expo Hall B, will feature twice as many brands as last year and will include fashion labels from Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Jakarta, Manila, Seoul and India, as well as home-grown talent from Singapore. The fashion apparel and accessories labels featured at Blueprint will all showcase their cruise collections here.
Blueprint 2011 will comprise of four distinct zones, Blueprint Showcase, Blueprint Presents, Blueprint Next Gen and Blueprint Accessorize.
Blueprint Showcase will consist of international brands that are touted to be fashion’s next big breakout stars. Blueprint Presents features contemporary young fashion collections that are hoping to sell their lines internationally while Blueprint Next Gen will feature niche brands such as Mae Pang from Singapore and Isis from Jakarta.
And did we mention the shopping? Don’t miss the two-day Blueprint Emporium. From May 21 to 22, the trade show will open its doors to the public for a weekend shopping event that will sell seasonal and sample sales items from the Blueprint exhibitors.
This event will play host to up to 120 Asian and International cult brands, and 100 buyers from both the regional and international markets. Evening and formalwear, contemporary and ready-to-wear collections as well as mid- to high-end jewellery and accessories will be on display. Look out for labels such as Jardin de Chouette, Beyond Closet, Steve J & Yoni P and Kaal E Suktae from Seoul; Vickteerut, Apostrophe’P and Sanshai from Bangkok; Danjyo-Hiyoji and ISIS from Jakarta; Chi Zhang (Beijing), Jatalika (New York) and J. JS Lee (London). More than 50 Singapore brands will also be taking part, including familiar names such as Ashley Isham, DEPRESSION, AMUSE, Pauline Ning and Burgundy.
This ticketed shopping event might just go down in Singapore’s fashion history as the party of the year! Be the first to sample the offerings of original and unique emerging brands that are not available commercially in Singapore.
