Stereophonics live, Shack closes down and more, this weekend!

We bring you the top 5 must-catch events happening after hours this weekend. Miss them at your own peril!

1. Stereophonics live in concert

Don’t miss this chance to catch Welsh rock icons Stereophonics as they return to perform to local fans after their debut show here in 2008. Expect hits from their latest new album “Keep Calm and Carry On”, which will showcase the band’s new direction.

Friday only, at Fort Canning Park. Tickets at $98 (Standard) and $110 (Show day).

 

2. Pacha Party at Zouk

Catch Dutch DJ/producer duo, René ter Horst and Gaston Steenkist aka Chocolate Puma helming the decks this weekend alongside Pacha Ibiza's resident Sarah Main and Pacha's captivating, slinky dancers.

Friday only, at Zouk.

 

3. Lisa Ono in concert

Fans of bossa nova, rejoice! Lisa Ono will be here this weekend to charm her audience with her signature sound which stems from her unique upbringing spanning Japan and Brazil.

Saturday only, at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets from $68 to $168.

 

4. The Shack’s closing party

Don’t be too sad this weekend as charming beach joint The Shack bids adieu in order to make way for the spankin’ new Tanjong Beach Club. Come down to enjoy one last hurrah together with FHM model finalists, with Breakbot dishing out the grooves.

Saturday only, at Sentosa.

 

5. Flame of the Forest Singatronica

The Sitar, Tabla, Violin and Laptop are an unlikely combination to be seen on stage. But once the music starts, the audience will be amazed by this unique collaboration between Hayashida Ken, one half of the synth pop duo The Karl Maka, Krsna Tan, Govin Tan and Dexter Tan.

Breakbeat Theory, TiGaia and Cosmic Armchair would also be playing in this show.

Friday to Sunday, at the Esplanade outdoor theatre. Showtimes are 10pm (Friday), 7.30pm (Saturday) and 8.45pm (Sunday).  Free.
