Singapore’s on the world’s Art Stage this weekend as it hosts one of the largest art fairs. Head down to Marina Bay Sands Expo to view this four-day art spectacular with more than 100 galleries and dealers from around the world exhibiting their work under one roof. Head down to the Singapore Art Museum to check out The Collectors Show: Chimera, a show held in tandem with Art Stage Singapore 2012.This show offers you a rare glimpse of 28 artworks by 18 of Asia’s most prolific contemporary artists. Housed in the private collections of eminent collectors from around the world including North America, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia such as the exhibition will feature exceptional works including Takashi Murakami’s “Jesus”, Tromarama’s video work “Extraneous”, Donna Ong’s installation “The Sixth Day”, and Yayoi Kusama’s painting “Sex Obsession”.

Don't miss this awesome dance production. An exciting blend of ballet, contemporary dance and modern hip-hop, Ballet Revolucion is choreographed by Aaron Cash and Roclan Gonzalez Chavez, and performed by dancers who all hail from Cuba. The show will also be accompanied by a live All Star Cuban Band which will play hits from Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Beyonce and more to get you grooving to the beat.

Come discover the role that film plays in the way we make sense of our collective and personal histories at the National Museum of Singapore. This two-day film symposium brings together filmmakers, historians and academics. The session includes a selection of films such as Tan Pin Pin's “Invisible City” and Atsushi Funahashi's “Deep in the Valley”, which will also be accompanied with post-screening discussions with the film-makers.

 Certainly one of the most must-see musicals ever, WICKED tells the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Land of Oz. The story follows two girls meeting in the Land of Oz and how these two girls from opposite sides of life become close friends. Read our review of the musical here.

Get into the spirit of Chinese New Year at VivoCity. The Art of China Showcase brings to you a range of unique arts and crafts including Tibetan handicrafts, Nantong Porcelain Arts, the Scholar's Four Jewels and Dragon Phoenix Paintings. There are also roving performances throughout the day.
