“Iron Man’s like a Coca-Cola can, Vision’s a big marker, War Machine’s a trashcan… the Black Panther’s a car tyre,” joked Anthony Mackie, describing what Team Iron Man look like, to rapturous laughter from the audience.
It is obvious that Anthony Mackie is the life of any party or on the set of his latest movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
The actor was quite the comedian during the press conference of Marvel’s latest tentpole on 21 April 2016.
“We take the time to learn more about the culture, eat the food and meet the people of the country we’re visiting, while Team Iron Man are just about being pampered. They go from the press conference to the spa after than and leave in their jet," Mackie quipped, never missing an opportunity to make fun of his co-stars.

"But our team don’t do that… we hitchhike. Everybody hanging on to me and my jetpack. It’s really more so about learning stuff about the people. Eating stingray and chilli crab and learning “yes lah” or “no lah”. Stuff like that we really enjoy,” Mackie added.
Mackie who reprises the role of Sam Wilson/Falcon, is in town, along with Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and director Joe Russo for the movie’s Southeast Asian premiere.

The movie is a sequel of sorts for 2014's ‘The Winter Soldier’ and last year's ‘Age of Ultron’. In ‘Civil War’, the Avengers are split into two factions — one (led by Iron Man) favours government oversight, while the other (led by Captain America) wants autonomy.
“It’s a very robust and complex project. A culmination film of sorts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it brings all the characters together for a big family fight,” director Joe Russo said.
He added: “It’s a heartbreaking film but its also a fun watch so I think audiences will have a well-rounded experience in the movies.”
“Record-setting”, sums up Chris Evans when asked to describe the movie.
Indeed, the film brings together a massive ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bethany, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner and Chadwick Boseman among many others.

The film is directed by Joe Russo and his brother Anthony. It is their second time directing the Captain America franchise.
“It’s a ‘Steven Soderberg’-level of cast. Marvel has done an amazing job filling up the MCU with some of the best actors in the world — it makes my job easier,” Russo said.
“What Marvel is doing is also unprecedented — taking long-form story-telling into something you’ve never seen before; like taking major characters from different franchises and interweaving them.”
“Winter Soldier changed the internal structure of the Marvel Universe with the fall of SHIELD, but this movie changes its psychology in a very significant way. And the ramifications of ‘Civil War’ are not over at the end of the movie. It will carry over into ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, where the story will put the characters in a very complicated place.”
“‘Civil War’ is the most important Marvel movie to date.”
